Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said Trevoh Chalobah was fine after he was withdrawn before the hour in the 4-1 friendly win over AC Milan.
The Blues have already lost Levi Colwill to an ACL injury and another centre-back in Chalobah appeared to roll his ankle in the friendly at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah was able to walk off the pitch and, speaking to 5 after the game, Maresca played down injury fears.
Earlier this week, Maresca revealed his desire to sign another centre-back this summer.
The Blues have new defender Jorrel Hato, Tosin Adarabioyo and Josh Acheampong as fully fit centre-back options going into the new season, which starts against Crystal Palace on August 17, live on AI Sporting Pro
